okay, i handed in my stuff to the guidance office at my school to apply for stony brook (deadline tomorrow) like a week ago. now i just realized that i forgot to give my guidance counselor a form to fill out (transmittal form)! if they receive my transcript, and application, can i just send the form in late? will they take it?

the website says "While there is no formal deadline for freshman applicants, students are encouraged to apply for fall admission by December 1." does that make a difference?

^ scholarships/honors colleges/WISE i think

so the forms for scholarships/honors colleges/WISE or the deadline?

okay i'm freaking out here! are they even gonna consider my app?!

yes they will just chill

Don't worry about it. Give the form to your guidance counselor tomorrow (today?)- it will be at most a couple days late. Most schools look over the applications they recieve and then send out emails/letters to applicants who forgot a form, asking them to send it in asap.

""the website says "While there is no formal deadline for freshman applicants, students are encouraged to apply for fall admission by December 1." does that make a difference?""

Yes, that makes a difference. You are probably applying to a rolling admissions program where they start looking at applications today (12/1), probably in the order received, and contonue to accept applications into early next year. This is just my guess based on the website quote you provided. Why not call the admin dept at SB and ask them? And get your GC to put a little rush on the info s/he has to send. but it sounds to me like you are spazzing over something not worth it.

thanks anonperson1, ruskie, beethoven12 and gabbagabbahey for the reply :]
i just found out today, after asking my guidance counselor, that the form doesn't have to be sent cause i already gave in the common app form
