What the heck do I do? (seriously need help!)?

So basically I asked this girl over text (only way to talk to her) Sarah and she instead called me and we had a 40 min convo bout how her parents don't like our age difference (she's 16, I'm 17, turning 18)

At the end, we told each other we liked one another, that we should wait till winter break when we're both free and go out but tell our parents as just "friends". She said I was very nice which is rare with guys and that I was worth it (I said that back to her as well) Then just go out publicly after that.

Then her best friend Cassy sends me this:

"Dude I hate to sound mean saying this but I can't find a euphemism so, back off of Sarah okay?"

then when I asked where this was coming from, she said:

"She and I have been talking. That's all you need to know"

Cassy and I are on good terms, there is no attraction between the two of us. She likes some guy at school and I've made it clear I like Sarah not her.

WHAT SHOULD I DO HERE!!!

Best advice I can give: take it slow. I’m not gonna try and interpret your relationship with her bc every one of them is different, but oftentimes if you go from “just friends” to a relationship more than that in a short time period it’s not a good relationship, more of an impulse one. If you two really do like one another, any obstacles won’t make much of a difference, unless they are like 6 miles high with barbed wire, security cameras and armed guards.

Good luck!!!
