I'm a rising senior on my summer break and so far all I've been doing is volunteering. Am i suppose to be doing anything regarding college? Is it too early to apply to UT? Should i be looking for dorms/apartments or applying for scholarships/FAFSA ?
With all these college posts from highschoolers on this website, i feel like i'm not doing much

Alot of questions here so I’ll try to answer them all. #1. Application doesn’t come online until August 1st so you can wait on that one. #2. FAFSA doesn’t go live until January 1st I believe. #3. If you know you’re staying on campus and want to know which dorms you would like, it wouldn’t hurt to start looking. There are many details pertaining to dorms. For one, the earlier you send in your housing contract and accept the one sent to you the better. You have until July 1st to make any changes so no need to stress. San Jacinto and Duren are the most in demand dorms on campus undoubtedly and are expensive but you do get what you pay for. Private bathrooms can be a plus but are in no way required. The community baths are cleaned daily and if you’re messy/careless (like me) they’ll likely be cleaner than your personal one. If you need any help on picking out a dorm or any more specific questions regarding that issue just bring it up and I can tell you what I know. #4. Really, I wouldn’t worry about doing scholarships until Spring but if you have the motivation and time there’s no reason to not start applying for a couple. Fastweb and ***** are great tools. If you need more just google scholarship sites.

From the sound of things I assume you’re going to be an auto-admit and if that is the case congratulations! If not, being accepted is very possible through the review process with a strong application so no need to worry. I hope this helped and I hope things work out in your favor in the near future.
