What the hell is this?

The SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests or

The ACT (with Writing Test) or

The SAT Reasoning Test and two AP exam scores or

Three SAT Subject Test scores (one in literature or the humanities, one in math or science, and one non-language of the student’s choice) or

Three AP exam scores (one in literature or the humanities, one in math or science, and one non-language of the student’s choice)

So I can submit three AP scores, and if they are all fives, it'll look just as good as a good SAT score?

This sounds to good to be true. Someone please clear things up.

If I decide to submit three AP scores, I plan to submit AP US History, AP Psychology, and AP World History. Does that satisfy the science and humanities requirements?

No, you need to submit at least one in math or science. I don’t think AP Psych is a science…

first hit in google:

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Freshman Applicants > Standardized Tests](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

For students who choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores, the following tests will satisfy the literature or humanities score requirement:

* Subject Tests: English Literature, US History, World History

 • AP Exams: English Literature, European History, US History, World History

For students who choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores, the following tests will satisfy the mathematics or science score requirement:

* Subject Tests: Math Level 1 or 2, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

 • AP Exams: Biology, Calculus AB or BC, Chemistry, Physics B or C

so if you submitted sat scores in, could you still send in ap english scores…

It satisfies a minimum requirement. I don’t think it will look very appealing to a school that you chose not to take/send SAT or SAT II’s. It is “okay” with them, but I think it’ll put you at a disadvantage, even if the scores are 5’s. There will be a lot of people who have several AP’s with 4s and 5s in them, in addition to SAT scores.
