What TIME are decisions coming out???

Yea I’m not looking at UCB like I was UCLA, it won’t be as crushing if I don’t get in (expected to get rejected from UCB anyway). It kind of feels refreshing to not worry about it

Being rejected is part of the whole process. Even the most successful people in our society got rejected at some point during their early days…

this is the link i found earlier today… i also shared this with the harvard forum a while ago…

hmmmm. so today is berkeley…

I read that article, it’s all about people who got rejected at harvard and ended up at columbia or princeton … how depressing lol.

jackdaniels, haven’t I saw you in other threads?

You probably have, I applied to quite a few places

@neonseri I read the article and it really lifted my spirits!! But jackdaniels was right, LOL none got into Harvard but unfortunately went to Brown, Columbia, and Princeton. That’s just too bad!

Nonetheless I still like the article, and I think every person applying to top schools should read it. I think as 17 -18 year olds, we forget that college is only one step to the rest of our entire life. Our undergraduate degree will be at the bottom of our resumes by the time we have truly lived our lives to the fullest. I can’t believe it took me 4 years of high school to realize that college means the knowledge I learn, the mentors I follow, and the friendships I make, not the prestigious name.

jackdaniels I was thinking the same thing for a bit… lol How sad that they couldn’t get into Harvard so they settled for Columbia… haha but the message is very relevant and true, even though the examples they used could have been different so most of us could relate a little better. lol Rejections are devastating and all but everyone goes through the process and your resilience will say a lot about how successful you’ll be, perhaps more than what school you get rejected by.

Calm down and carry on. =D

T - 19 hours

Just need my supplemental to carry me!

Oh god oh god the wait is murder :expressionless: Tomorrow I discover where I’m going, whether accepted or denied D:

jlocke, calm down

something tells me that you will get in

and if not, UCSB is a truly great school

i didn’t even get a supplement. AND i’m out of state, meaning my ucgpa is automatically not good. AND berkeley is my top choice. I would choose berk over cornell, duke, dartmouth, basically everywhere. so don’t worry jlocke (is that a reference to the philosopher john locke or to the guy in Lost?), you’ve got it better off then me.

good luck guys! im just waiting for my notice of rejection from berkeley that way i can just focus btw uci and ucsd haha

i am literally like on the verge of a breakdown.
i don’t know what to do, this school is my life lol.

wow that’s practically identical to my situation soccerdude

guys. have some faith

Guys, don’t give up yet. Have faith in yourself, I’m sure God has different plans than you do, so wait and see. You never know what will happen.

JohnAdams-Yeah, bit overexcited. Hard not to be though! Glad you think I’ll get in, however. I hope you’re right :P

Still, not long til we all find out. Best of luck to everyone in this thread!

i feel like applying for engineering - undecided might have lowered my chances by a great margin :(
