What to Bring for College Visits

I'm currently approaching the end of my junior year and so I'm starting to make plans for college visits. My mom and I were discussing potential colleges to visit when she said that I would need to bring my transcript and a bio detailing what I've accomplished in high school thus far so I can show discuss them with someone at the schools I attend and see what I need to do to get in. She made it sound as if most people do this when visiting colleges. I don't feel as if this is right, but she insists that this is what you do at college visits. I don't entirely believe her, but I figured I would ask on here since there are numerous more-experienced people on here when it comes to college visits. So basically what do I need to bring for college visits and will neglecting to bring a transcript and personal bio be committing a college visit sin?

You would not need either for a standard college visit. If you are meeting with athletic coaches, sometimes they want a transcript and test scores. I can’t think of any reason that anyone would want a bio.
