<p>I remember sitting the Subject test and I had brought a TI-89. And the proctor was inspecting it and looking all suspiciously on it, like it had some cheaty program or something to my advantage. As she made a grumpy sound she gave it to me, like "fine!!#".</p>

<p>Use a calculator when necessary so as not to give yourself a disadvantage.</p>

You don't, but it might help save a few seconds to a few minutes depending on how good you are at math.</p>
