So on Saturday I received a letter from pitt saying they wanted my mid year grades (for anyone who is curious, I applied for engineering with a 3.3 gpa and a 1400 on the sat). My question is, after I send my mid year report and I don’t get in for engineering, will they still offer me a spot in the college of arts and sciences as an undeclared major?
Please, I really need guidance^^^
It’s hard to give you a universal answer, because it will depend on the situation. It is possible that you would be offered admission to Arts and Sciences or to an engineering program at one of our regional campuses. Requesting mid-year grades does not necessarily indicate any of those outcomes, though. It is just the Admissions Committee asking for a little more information before making a final decision.
If you have more questions about that request, please feel free to contact our office: 412-624-7488.
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
Make sure that your midyear grades are the best they can be?
