What to do after deferred?

Hi, I recently got deferred by case, and on the letter it said “In the coming weeks we will contact you and ask that you update your application with information that has become available since your application was submitted.” Also, when I click on their online decision FAQs, it says “In January, we will ask you to update your application with new information we may not have had when you initially submitted your application.” Does that mean they will email me a link so that I can add new things onto my application or something? There are some things that I would like to add on, but idk when or how I should.

I would continue to show interest…e.g., open emails, check the portal, …perhaps ask this question of your admissions counselor?
