I was recently deferred and my grades and stats have definitely gone up. I wanted to talk with my regional counselor and was wondering if doing this through email or phone is better?
I had gotten the deferral letter signed by Theodore L. Spencer, the associate vice provost and executive director, not the one from the admissions counselor so i don't know an email or phone number to call.
What have you guys been doing? calling or emailing, and who?

Unlike many kids who were deferred, I’ve continued to work hard on my grades. Don’t get yourself caught up in the hysteria, even though it does suck to be deferred. If we want to get into UM, the best thing we can do is keep doing well in school and focus our attention so that they don’t have to think twice about our application. As far as calling and emailing, I have no idea what number to dial. I also got a letter signed by Theodore, so my guess is as good as yours.
