In the letter where you get your acceptance, what should you do if they say something like "Great, you've been accepted, now reserve your spot with a $200 dollar non-refundable deposit!"? They talk about it guaranteeing your chance at getting housing and stuff. But how should we do it when we really need to compare financial aid packages which dont come out until like March?

umm most of the housing deposits are refundable until may 1st and the ones that arent usually dont have to be turned in until around may 1st. Dont woory i cant think of a single school that a freshman wouldnt get housing at as long as the turn in the housing contract before the deadline

umm.. if u dont mindme asking where did u get accepted??

You may ask that college directly......

I also want to know the name of that college....

Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (one of my safeties).

If the college really doesn't have enough housing for freshmen, and if you know you want to live on campus, send in the $200. I think that in most cases, it's refundable. Read the fine print.
