what to do and what not to do for essays

anyone have any good sample essays for ivies/top 10 schools?

and run the risk of you plagerizing? OkaY

search google
usually you can find model essays on sites that offer service to edit your essay

no i havent even started the app process yet, let alone essays, im just trying to figure out what they like to see, not get essays that fit me. i was wondering if anyone had any essay-writing tips.

Essay-writing tips:

1) Don't use big words. Essays that rely on big words suck. The best writers say as much as possible in as little as possible, and use higher-level vocabulary when only a specific word can fit.
2) Make sure that your voice comes out; when you read it aloud, does it sound like something that you could say to your friend and it wouldn't be abnormal?
3) Write about something that you care about, represents you, is unique to you, and fits with the angle of your application.

That's all you can hope for in an ideal essay.
