What to do during our never ending winter break

What do students at Udel, especially freshman, do during the winter break from mid december to feburary?

winter session or study abroad for easy credits.

... and about half go home and some of those work/get internships.

I am going to Mexico and taking two classes there next winter session. A lot of students study abroad, but a lot of people also go home and work.

if we want to study abroad this winter session (and are entering as a freshman) when do we sign up? I imagine its early?

As an entering freshman, many of the programs have already filled and/or the deadlines have passed. For the available programs, most of the deadlines are in September... check out www.udel.edu/international for info on the programs, deadlines, costs. FYI this upcoming winter session is session 2007

Thanks for the link.
I am interested in the trip to Argentina and I emailed the contact that was given on the site. I hope its not too late!

I know people who went to Argentina this year... most loved it. Just one thing to be aware of is that in some programs you live with host families, some you stay in hotels, and some in dorms. I believe the Argentina one is one that you stay with host families... you won't be totally alone with your host family but you will only have 1-2 other udel kids and certainly not your entire group.

... just something to think about as I know kids who won't go on any of the trips that require you to stay with host families.

If you are an out of state student you will pay dearly to stay on campus during winter session to take just two classes. Not sure how the fees for study abroad compare.

what kind of cost are we looking at? and is the max you can take 2 classes?

Study Abroad is the best thing to do - or get paid for research.
