Hey all. I'm just wondering what a rising senior should be focusing on during the summer to go through the admissions process as smooth as possible.

Right now I've been volunteering, working, and studying for SAT II tests a tiny bit. Anything else that I should look into doing? I haven't started any essays/commonapp yet.

Prepare your high school resume. Create your college list: Reaches, Matches, Safeties. Plan to apply Early Action if the choice is available. Begin essays based on the Common Application essay topics. Study for the SAT/ACT if you plan on retaking in the Fall. Discuss finances with your parents as to what they can afford in terms of tuition/room/board/fees.

i’m in the same boat-
i’m getting community service hours under my belt, taking an SAT course, creating my college list, and enjoying my summer :)
