I added a certain college to my list at the end of the summer although I was a bit unsure about it due to the fact that it's very far away from where I live. But I thought "what the heck?" and decided to add it anyway. However, the more I thought about how far away I'd be from my family, I started to have doubts. The college is not my first, second, or even third choice and I don't believe the distance will be worth it. I haven't sent in my application yet - however, my guidance counselor has already sent my transcripts and what not to the school and I already sent in my CSS profile to the school. If I'm no longer interested, what do I do? Do I just not complete the application? Or is that going to create a problem?

Not a problem, incomplete applications happen all the time. Just don’t submit the application.

It’s polite to email the admissions office to let them know you won’t be applying. They can then take you off their contact lists.
