Same! One of my teachers hasn’t uploaded her rec to common app and some of the deadlines for my schools are on Jan 1! I don’t want to seem too pushy but I think I’m going to send her another email…

You’re in a tricky situation, because you don’t want to make yourself too annoying just when you want the recommender to be feeling enthusiastic about you. But don’t panic yet; a lot of these letters straggle in a bit late. And it doesn’t really matter because it takes a while for the Admissions Departments to sort everything out, since it all arrives at once. If I were you, I would wait until the beginning of next year, when your hs reopens and you can remind your teachers in person that they promised to write on your behalf. Maybe you can enlist your guidance counselor’s help if the teacher isn’t cooperative.

You’re supposed to be pushy, and I don’t think the teachers really mind. I asked one of my teachers like 20 times to do about 10 different recommendations. She didn’t seem to have a problem with it. She was actually really happy to help. Just keep asking, they’ll get it done.

The best way would be try to send another e-mail, and if that doesn’t work, try to call them personally. If school gets back in session, go as soon as possible to that teacher and talk with him/her. You might also want to check the college website to see if they accept materials sent in after the deadline like Teacher Recs. I know a few of mine accepted items sent in after the deadline of your application. Just be sure to call the college and they might have the answer! Good luck.

How would I send in the recommendations after the deadline? Wouldn’t I have to resubmit the entire common ap? Or would I just hold off on sending the Common Ap? That sounds kind of risky.

Oh and I’ve already emailed them to gently remind them! :/

You can give them a paper copy and they can fill it out and mail it. That way, you can send in your Common App and still have the Teacher Recommendation on the way.
