What to do if waitlisted?

<p>Found out I was wailisted by Emerson
SAT 1580
GPA 3.4
I think my common app essay was pretty normal,and since i have a low SAT score and mediocre GPA , I think the only thing thats keeping me on the waitlist instead of rejected is my video :( (maybe some EC)</p>

<p>Any suggestions what to do if waitlisted? I am still waiting for LMU's decision tho, but i have a feeling that the odds are pretty low...so I hope theres something for me to do to get off the waitlist with great chances..</p>

<p>Email them and tell them Emerson is your top choice. You could ask how the wait list works, too, and when you might hear. Obviously there are accepted students who will elect to go elsewhere, so that is how you get off a wait list. The timing of when and the interminable wait, however, can be a headache. (Check with LMU, too, to see what’s up.) </p>
