My son made an error on his common app essay. He repeated a word twice in a sentence - one was at the end of the line and the other at the beginning of the next line, so both of our eyes just skipped over it when we were proofreading.
He got upset and we decided to email admissions and ask if we could correct it. I pulled up the common app to start to look for an email address to send it to…
And I discovered 3 typos on their confirmation popup.
We decided to let it go. If they want to deny admission because of a typo when their stuff is riddled with typos, it’s not the school for my kid.
