Okay....so I didn't get any prestigious interns, I am looking to my whole summer of.....nothing so far.....wow the free time really frightens me....most of my friends are getting an intern from IBM or some big companies.....

so I am just seeking advice from those of you in the business world, what should I do to better prepare myself to survive in the competition to get an IB job, and meanwhile, get experience to boost my resume too? I study in USC Marshall where there is cut-throat competition. I don't want to loose on the starting line.

I was kinda in the same situation as you; I simply e-mailed/cold called a few middle market ib firms and one of them was nice enough to have me as an intern (unpaid of course).

You could also start a business...it's not as hard as it seems.

You should move this thread to undergrad business major column.

im in the same situation as you...
arpster should i just call the offices and ask them if i can have an unpaid internship?

morgan stanley isnt a middle market firm, he means try some lesser know companies
