What to do? Please Help.

Hey everyone,

I just received my ACT scores from the October test date, and am not very pleased with my performance. My scores in most of the subsections dropped from those of my September test (detailed below). I retook the October exam in hopes of raising my essay and math scores, but my math score turned out to be lower on the October test. I am a senior and some of the schools at the top of my list require me to submit all my ACT scores, and I am worried that the drop in my score will reflect poorly on my application.
Do you think that this will have a negative effect the outcome of my admission decision?
Also which score should I send for the schools that don't require having all sent in? Should I just send in both to everyone?

Thank you in advance.

September scores:
Composite: 34
English: 35
Math: 31
Reading: 34
Science: 35
Writing: 9

October scores:
Composite: 32
English: 34
Math: 29
Reading: 36
Science: 25
Writing: 10

Woah your science score dropped so much, sorry I’m just shocked :-/
Well send in the Sept one for all the colleges that require one and if they want all, it won’t matter that much honestly they know it depends on the test day circumstances or whatever which is why most schools superscore anyways. You’re fine :)

My science score did drop a lot; it dropped 7 points, from a 35 to a 28 (I must have made a mistake while posting it). Thank you so much for posting! :)

Im sorry man. I am in the same boat. I went from a 33C to a 32C. I hope they don’t care too much, Hopefully, they might just see it as an off-day for both of us.

I hope so too! Good luck with your applications, and thanks for the reply.
