Hi! In my applications, i put that i was going to play varsity tennis in the extracurricular activities sections. However, now i have decided to not play due to a lack of sleep and demanding classes. Do i need to inform the colleges (mainly UCs)? Thanks

bump....anyone?

I won't bother. Schools are not likely to pay much attention to what you said you were going to do. They are more likely to look at what you have actually done.

if you put it in a section about planned ECs I wouldn't bother. If you put it in a section listing actual ECs (figuring it would come true) then you better notify the UCs pronto! They do random verification of ECs, and if you're name pops up and you can't verify what you listed then you're rejected from all UC campuses.
