What to do summer before UCLA....?

Ok, so I am gonna be a freshman at UCLA. I have no idea what I am going to do this summer.... is there anything I can do to prepare for UCLA? such as... maybe taking summer school classes to get credits out of the way? etc.

I suggest you do what I’ll be doing… not a damn thing.

actually, you know what that sounds like a good idea especially since my brain is fried after 4 years of intense stress and work in high school.

I wouldnt really weigh a high school education that heavily, only because of the journey ahead of us in comparison.

But yes, enjoy your time off, I know I will.

your brain is fried from high school? I hope this is sarcasm… I’ve gotta figure out how to use 100% of my brain at once rather than the 10% I relied on in high school

noo i am not being sarcastic. i took too many Ap classes this year, i guess, (5), so it took a lot of effort. and also having too much to do such as sports and all my community service work i don’t know about other people but it’s just been way too much work.

^ if that’s the case, if i were you, i wouldn’t let my mind wander too much.
the quarter system is very intense and fast, and you don’t have the time to coast through any of the classes.

wow… gotta be honest… i bs’d my way through high school, bs’d my way to UCLA, with a 4.2. Oh well, thats my loss… I’m gonna probably fail my first quarter because I’m so used to using sparknotes and not reading.

I’m in Hawaii right now. Do somethin’ like that. If you’re really concerned, just go down to Barnes&Noble and buy a few non-fiction books to keep your mind sharp during the summer. That’s what I do. Reading is good for you (non-fiction is best). Have fun!

party, get laid, meet hot girls etc.
