hey if i win an award after i send my APP how do i add it on?( assuming its worth adding on)

You can call your target colleges and get the name and e-mail address of the admissions staff member who covers your high school. (This information is sometimes available on college Web sites, too.) Then send a brief e-mail to him or her, including all the pertinent information about yourself (full name, high school name, etc.) and a description of your award.

Only do this for major awards, though what qualifies as "major" is often a judgment call. Never assume that the admission rep is familiar with the award, even a national one, so be sure to explain what it is and what you had to do to earn it. Don't use abbreviations in the award name or description unless you're certain they're universally known. (You might be surprised by what rookie admission officers DON'T know!)

Also, depending on the timing of your award, you can ask your counselor to include it in the materials that your high school will be sending to colleges (if that info hasn't already gone out but will be going out shortly).

Finally, if the award is a big enough deal to warrant a newspaper article (I'm talking about a real news story, not just a tiny blurb) and the article focuses on YOU (or maybe on you and a small handful of other winners ... not dozens), then you might want to send a snail-mail copy of the clipping to the admission reps, too.
