what to do when a petition is denied

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I petitioned to go over the maximum units because I switched majors and want to take classes just because-- for fun. I got denied this from my college academic advising, what can I do? Should I resubmit the petition? I want to meet with the counselor and have them explain why they denied it :(</p>
