My Algebra 2 teacher put my Introduction Letter grade down online as a 0 because it is "Missing" and now I have an F in the class. I actually did turn it in though.

I know that I can easily still get an A in the class, it's just that I don't want him to think that I didn't do it. He'll think of me as a slacker, and then he's going to not like me as much.

Maybe he made a mistake? The person next to me forgot his and he's Asian as well (lol), so maybe he mixed us up?

Maybe he did. You won’t know what happened unless you talk to your teacher and see what’s up. I know a lot of teachers put ‘missing’ down on assignments they haven’t graded yet, and then upload the actual grade when they’re done, though. Perhaps that’s what happened?

Talk to the teacher after school and calmly discuss that you did the assignment but understand that it is missing.
Don’t be confrontational or accusatory.
Just listen to what the teacher has to say.
This will show the teacher you are mature enough to meet with him, didn’t over react and are willing to move forward.
Suggest that you put your work in a pocket folder with your name on the cover, work pocketed and paper clipped in place.

Did you put your name on it? My teachers THROW IT AWAY if it doesn’t have a name on it. You can redo it, and I had to redo one assignment three times because I kept forgetting to put my name on it

@tacoperson123 Now that you mention it, I think maybe he did that. My name was on it, but on the back I wrote “Sincerely, [my name]” and maybe he just threw it away immediately because there wasn’t a heading?

I cleared everything up After class I just asked politely, and he looked through the letters to see if mine was in there. Thanks for all the advice everyone!
