If we're deferred Early-Action, are we allowed to send in another essay, or achievements from the 2006 AMC, etc. to boost our chances in the RD round??

yes by all means go for it.

how though? Would they actually ask you to submit stuff or would you have take the initiative? Would you actually know and contact your admission officer personally?

because right now I have an essay idea that's so much better than the one I wrote...:(

You have to take the initiative. You don't have to send in anything new if you don't want to (say you SAT score went down or something like that).

if you have those awards now you can fax them in and they will consider them for scea

what if I have a new essay that I think will pwn them?? Can they consider that if faxed or I'll have to wait to be deferred? (tries not to think of rejection....)

the college confidential main site has some advice for this.

http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_admissions/deferral.htm (how do you hyperlink? i guess youll just have to copy/paste)

omg it hyperlinks for you! amazing!

Would it be worth it for fax in a solo award from a competition at this point?

i emailed some new awards, hopefully those were seen
