I'm taking the med prerequisites and need to take a chem class in the upcoiming term, but all the classes are full. Ive been waiting for over a month for someone to drop, yet so far no one has. School starting pretty soon xo Im worried. I want to graduate on time and this is a prerequisite for the other classes of my major. What should I do? Has anyone else been frustrated with finding an open class or knows how to get in a full/closed class? Or am I supposed to keep on waiting in hopes someone will drop?

Hmm I was going to say take Bio(if not already) but remembered that you need chem for orgochem. If your up for it most schools also have an honors version of chem which basiclly just goes faster in material; if not I'd definately ask your advisor-realistically speaking general chem usually has lots of people in each class so I hope for your case one more ( meaning you) won't affect the class. I had a similar problem in that the freshman writing cass and the chem lab were somehow full so I was really frustrated but luckily the school added more sections.

You can ask the prof himself. Approach him, explain the situation, etc. Many people dont attend class anyway/fail out.

similar to what aspen's said, there's usually a petition procedure to get into an impacted/closed class, usually involving the professor's approval.
