Hellooo all!
hope you're having a happy friday!
TGIF.
So i got 2400 on my SAT! I'm juiced. But it was a lotta luck, anyone who gets 2300 can get a 2400 with a lotta luck. Thank the lordd i was lucky come test day.
Anyways!
People have told me that collegeboard does something with the scores.
Do you know any perks of getting a 2400 other than having the score?
Tyty. =]
Hope ur guys's tests went well!

I think there’s something called “Presidential Scholars” (or something), I don’t know much about it though.

^Yeah, my sister worked with the Scholars last year. It’s a pretty baller program, Google it. It’s cool in itself, but if you get waitlisted, adding the Presidential Scholar to your list of achievements is super impressive (you only get it after second semester of senior year).

The Presidential Scholar title is awarded to students who scored the highest SAT scores in their state, on a 1600 scale. In most states, the cutoff is 1590-1600, but could be as low as 1580 or even 1570, depending on the state. You don’t get anything for it until the middle of your senior year, so it won’t help much with admissions. Besides, listing “Presidential Scholar Nominee” on your application is a bit redundant, because it’s essentially saying “I scored a 1600 on my SAT”, which they should already know.

If you scored a 2400, OP, you would certainly qualify to be nominated. Congratulations.

Got 2300… I was originally overjoyed but then I realized that it was wholly possible for me to get 2400. At least 60 points was lost due to avoidable errors.

Sigh… the Presidential Scholar’s cutoff is so cruel. My CR+M score is 1550, and I bet the California cutoff is 1600.

Ahhh. So this Presidential Scholars award thing. Do I have to turn in an application or do they invite me? I couldn’t seem to find the application on the website. But also, i’m only a junior this year… and it seems to be restricted for only seniors.
maybe next year? =]

You can write “I got a 2400 on the SAT.” on a sticky note and paste it onto your forehead, which will subsequently get punched about 100-5000 times depending on what high school you go to. Other than that, I’m pretty sure you can qualify for a few scholarships with a 2400 and save tons off of college tuitions.
