<p>I am taking the next academic year off and I wondering if anyone has any good ideas of employment opportunities in Canada. I want to do something that has a purpose as compared to working at a grocery store or something. However, I have just graduated from high school and I have little experience. I am just looking for some advice from people who took a year off between high school and college and what they did. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.</p>
<p>i'm kinda in ur situation except i've had jobs and had 2 years of college, but i'm taking a semester off because i was offered spring admission.</p>
<p>i would recommend you take courses at a community college and or look for internships. even if its unpaid, internships can give you great experience and an extra boost on a resume, its much better than a job at a supermarket.</p>
