Hi im an international student studying in the us. summer break is only 2 weeks away. What should i do about the mail? i got a slip from my school saying they'll just return any mail back to the sender, so i should change my address...i dont really get any important mail and there's not a lot of places where i need to change my address (all i can think of is the bank but they dont send me anything by mail)....my summer break is about three months and ill be in korea for the whole time...should i just leave it as it is and change it when its near the time school starts again (to my new dorm address)? what do other people do?

Have any friends that can receive your mail and keep it for you? That’s probably the best solution.

Go to the closest Post Office, and fill out a change of address form. The first class mail (letters) will be forwarded for six months. Magazines, etc. will be forwarded for a shorter period of time. This will take care of all the mail you receive. You don’t need to contact every single bank, magazine, friend, etc.

I don’t know if the mail can be forwarded to an international address, but you can have it redirected to any address in the US. If you have a friend or a relative who can receive it for you, you can have it sent there.
