Hi so this is a bizzarre post but I have rhinoceros beetle larvae but would soon probably be unable to care for them long term.
I go to UMD so would it be a good idea to ask any entomology professors if they are interested in those beetles? They are rhinoceros beetles and rather rare to the state.
Few years ago, saw someone bought exotic beetle from ebay or something and got caught because state law prohibit having non-native beetles in that state (don’t know what state, but myself lives in MD). Giving to the professor or donate to a zoo would be a better idea than to sell to someone at this point.
they ARE native look up dynastes titytus. i know they look like something you would find in brazil but oddly enough they ARE native to maryland and are NOT exotic.
