1)This is a bit complicated but what do I do with courses that I got W and retook? On UC Transcript, it makes you put the grande I got (ABCDFWPNP etc) but I’m not allowed to change the units although I retook it and on my CC transcript it says 0 units and says it was exempted since I retook it and got an A. However, I don’t want that F to go into calculating GPA because it shouldn’t since it says its exempted on my transcript.
I’m not able to put all correct grades/classes since one of my school id isn’t working for me to login to see my unoffical transcript, and it opens on Monday I assume (when the UC apps are due). I would like to submit it earlier so I don’t go through any trouble. Am I allowed to change my submissions later I turn it in? (Kinda like FAFSA?)
Can someone help me personally with my transcript to see it looks okay? I don’t want to get accepted and get a no card later because I missed something stupid that I didn’t mean intentionally.
Thank you guys!
PS) If someone would like to read and edit my essay, I would be grateful.
Ws won’t affect your GPA and you may get rescinded if they see later that you left it out. The UCs won’t care about the Ws.
F that was repeated: If it is at the same CCC, the app should catch it and adjust GPA. If the first course is from another school, the app will not connect the repeat course, so will calculate in the F. This will later adjust.
Simply note in the additional comments that course XXX, term XXX is repeating course XXX from term XXX.
It’s unfortunate that you waited until the last minute to try to access a transcript. Try and see it on Monday, or you will need to put in what you remember and then later email the UC an update. Once you submit you can not go in and change any coursework.
thank you very much for the reply. i was wondering how many units i need to transfer to UCs, and how many units is too much. Also, do units I earned from Pass/No Pass count towards those units or only with letter grades? I have taken many classes from various community colleges
They calculate P units, but you are only allowed to transfer 14 semester P/NP and they cannot be major requirements. Breadth and IGETC can be P - up to the unit max.
@chalk5 You need 60 transferable semester units or 90 transferable quarter units to be eligible. If you’re coming from a CC, there is no limit - take as many units as you want, but only 70semester/105quarter units will transfer over towards the units needed for graduation at the UC. The classes you take can still count for subject credit, such as classes needed for a minor, etc.
