I have taken the SAT three times and I am not pleased with my scores. I am considering taking the ACT in December but I don't want my score to go against me if I score poorly on it. Is it possible for me to just take the ACT and if I do well on it, just send that score in and completely void my SAT1 scores? But then again, I want my SAT2 scores to be sent but not my SAT1s! Is it possible to just have my ACT score and SAT 2 scores sent to the colleges?? I am sooo confused. Someone please help me...

Unfortunately, SAT Reasoning Tests no longer have the score choice option; the College Board got rid of that a few years ago. So if you do submit your SAT II's, all your SAT I scores will be submitted as well, and you cannot withhold any scores that you do not like. As far as the ACT goes, you can certainly try it, and if you don't like it, you don't have to submit it. If you like it, submit it; it will only help you. But then you have to decide on your SAT II scores. I wish I knew your composite score and schools that way I could help you a little better. You will have to think long and hard about it, but it will come down to how much you value your SAT II scores over your SAT I scores. Good luck! :)

Well, my SAT scores aren't that great either. I have a 610 in chem and a 620 in math 2c =/. My SAT 1 score is a 1760 and I have taken them 3 times (i have also taken the old sat so that score will also show up =/)...
