Hi, i finished my first year of college with a 3.21 overall gpa. 2.74 first semester and 3.68 second semester at st. john's univ. I calculated that if i get 2 semester's of 4.0's, (which could be possible since i used ratemyprofessor and the prof's i chose are all good). my overall by end of soph would be a 3.6 . I'm just wondering what kind of colleges would accept a 3.6 for xfer? if i want to xfer somwhere real good , such as UCLA or NYU is it smarter if i xfer to another college so my GPA resets and i can try to aim for a 4.0? or should i just stick with my plan on getting a 3.6 ? thanks !

Your GPA doesn’t reset in reality, schools will look at your cumulative GPA at all the schools you attended.
