What to expect from alumni interview?

Ok, so an alum called me the other day and asked if I was available for an interview on Monday.

I heard it was not bad, and the lady on the phone said it wouldn't take longer than 20 minutes and not to dress up.

But what will she want to know? What does "just informational" mean?

What kind of questions did you ask?...cause I look at CC, I know a lot about my colleges from reading all of the different school forums.

I know I could make something up, but I don't want to sound like an idiot because most of the questions I had while doing research on schools were answered from the internet.

Any other tips? She said don't dress up, but I was going to wear nice khakis and a polo, tucked in. Too much?

Thanks!

no need to dress up

here is what I posted for someone else

no big deal. it’s an information type of thing, where you can get and ask info regarding the University. no need to be nervous or anything like that. They will file a report, but it basically means very little, if anything. Many people get in without being offered one or even declining the interview. Don’t sweat it.

Ok thanks. Yeah I saw that when looking through other threads haha.

Ok, thanks, guess I shouldn’t really worry. I have a pretty good reason for applying to Cornell and I’m going to ask about the dorms, cars on campus, greek life and some stuff like that.

Thanks again.
