I'm a senior in high school and I plan on attending Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA for my first 2 years of college. My ultimate goal is to transfer to either UCLA or CAL and I know it is possible to transfer to both those school from Mt. SAC (I've done some research on that). I've heard that it's very difficult and even IMPOSSIBLE to transfer to CAL from a community college. I know many people who have transferred to UCLA from Mt. SAC and they had GPA's of 3.7+
My major is going to be Business/Economics and I heard that it's very hard to transfer with that major (by hard, meaning I will need a very high GPA). Now, I know anything is possible and I know that I have the potential to transfer out to UCLA.
So, what should I expect out of community college coursework and what should I do to get an outstanding GPA? I know I will have to take TAP (Honors/Scholars Program), but how hard is it?
I need some advice/motivation/words of wisdom please. Thanks.
