What to get and when to get things for college?

Hiya!
So as of today, it is March 4th and I start college mid-August and I was wondering, when should I start gathering my things for college. I know it’s early, but ya know nothing like a head start.
So what should I consider getting (maybe a mix of necessities and wants?) and when would you recommend I start shopping.

P.S I just registered for my dorm and I won’t have a roommate mainly because I plan to be out often and when I’m in my dorm, I need that “me-time”. Good or bad?

I’m still 2 years away from being in your position, but from what I’ve read and heard it never hurts to start early. Just keep in mind that there will be many more sales on college stuff as you near August.

As for your dorm, I think its perfectly fine. If you have enough to cover a room for a single person there is nothing wrong with it.
