What to give professors after they've submitted the letter?

<p>Hey everyone, </p>

<p>A professor just finished writing and submitted a letter of recommendation for me. Since it's around the holidays, would it be appropriate the give a professor a hand-written holiday card that also says "Thank you" or is something more (or less) "expected"? </p>

<p>Definitely appropriate. I sent my LOR writers a thank you note, they all appreciated it.</p>
