What to provide for recommendation writers

<p>What do I need to provide for my recommendation writers? So far I'm thinking, stamped and addressed envelopes and recommendation forms from the universities. Should I also provide them with letterhead paper from the university I am applying from? Or is it likely they will already know to print it on letterhead? Is there anything else I'm missing?</p>

<p>Your professors already have letterhead – and frankly, you should not, as you are not a full-time employee of the university.</p>

<p>It would be ideal if you would provide:

  • All forms and stamped and addressed envelopes (if necessary - many will require online submission instead)
  • a list of courses you took with the recommender, grades you received
  • copies of graded research papers you wrote for those courses
  • a copy of one of your statements of purpose
  • a list of all programs to which you are applying, with a brief (two sentence) statement explaining why each program is appropriate to your goals
  • a CV</p>
