Sorry if this has been talked about before but I couldn't think of the words I'd use to search.

What kind of things should I read to improve my critical reading sections (vocab/comprehension)? I remember a recommendation on another thread to read The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Harper's, and Reader's Digest. Any other magazines/newspapers?

Read up on philosophers like Voltaire (Candide's a nice quick read), as well as Nietzche, Ayn Rand (Anthem+The Fountainhead are amazing), Kafka etc.

Batman, I hope you're joking. Read back on a few of my old posts. I've answered this question before. Reading magazines and stuff only helps because you learn vocab and because it will help you make reading less unusual and more second-nature. you should just read whatever you're interested in. You don't have to read all this philosophical stuff. I like New York Times, but if you don't like it you don't have to read it!
