I dunno why it never crossed me to take SAT subject tests. I heard some colleges require them. But wouldn't taking AP exams and then SAT subject tests of the same subject be redundant?

In order to be safe with most universities, how many do I need to take and what subjects? Do they need to pertain to my major?

Also since I’m planning to take the SAT again in June should I do the subject tests in October? or should I do the subject tests in June and SAT in October?

And do AP prep books work for SAT subjects?

Bump! Please answer. =D

Take at least 2 (some colleges require three, most require two if any)

They should probably be related to your major (especially if you are a science/math/engineering major), but not all of them. Take one related to your major, one that is somewhat related, and then a free one. (Example: Bio major- Bio, Math 2, World History)

I’m taking SAT 2 in June (Math 2, Physics, US History). Depending on my ACT score from April, I would take the SAT again in October if necessary. I don’t think it matters which one you choose.

I would guess they would be. AP and SAT are both from collegeboard, so I’m sure their curriculum is very similar (if not identical), but don’t quote me on that.
