What to take?

I suppose this might be the wrong place, but I wasn't sure where to put this.

Unfortunately, I go to a small school and fitting the classes I want into my schedule is extremely difficult. Because of the AP classes I'm taking this year, I had to take a Stats class (it was the only other thing that could fit into my schedule) instead of the required Health class for Juniors. This means I have to take Health next year as a Senior. Great....

Anyway, I'm left with only one elective for Senior year, if things work out. So, would it be better to take Spanish IV so I can have four years of a foreign language, AP Music Theory because I'm into music, or Anatomy because I want to major in a science-related field?

I was leaning towards Music Theory, because I think it would be fun (unlike the other two) and would definitely help my class rank because it is weighted more than the others.

However, would it hurt me if I have only taken three years of a foreign language instead of four?

3 years is plenty.

How are the teachers for the classes you are considering?

What type of school do you plan on going to? What is the field of science you are going into?

The sad thing is, none of the teachers are that great. I had the Anatomy teacher for Bio, and I honestly don't remember anything. I really strongly dislike the Spanish teacher, unless our school's other Spanish teacher gets Spanish IV next year. And the Music Theory teacher is okay. He's my band director, and he's not wonderful at it, but I'm not sure how he would be in a regular classroom setting.

To be honest, I'm not sure what field I'm going into. Chemistry, possibly? At one time I considered medicine, though.

Eh. I'd take an off period and self study. :P

I took Music Theory fish year and the BD/dline instructor wasn't that great.. I kind of regret taking it because one [unfair] thing caused me to get an 89 for one semester and it's an advanced class.. If you really are interested, I still have my notes and I can rec you some software..
Or take and boost the rank..

You have 3 yrs of Spanish, the teacher sucks, and you don't really need a 4th.
Anatomy: if the teacher was great and would give you some good insight on science... :|

Oh yeah, can you take Health online? Apparently we can do that over here, so I'm going to do that in the summer..

Nah, we're not allowed to take stuff online. It's a big policy at my school that they won't give you any type of credit unless the class is taken during the normal school day and during the normal school year. It's kind of stupid, actually.

They also won't let you wrap classes two/three days a week (around a lab period, for example) except for Choir. I HATE our Choir teacher.

I don't see what the big deal is. I wanted to take any class other than Choir and was told absolutely not. Even though I promised to keep up with my work and accept .6 credits instead of 1 credit because I would only be in the class part-time.

If I get the choice, I think I'm going with Music Theory. :)

Go with anatomy. It fits in with science.

3 years of foreign language is fine. The problem with the music thing is, your career choice is in science. so colleges will see that you chose science over other things. that's good. i mean, if music is your passion, then it should be clear to them already. i mean, your ECs should show that. also, music theory is one AP that you can feasibly self-study. indicate to colleges that you're self-studying it, and then take anatomy.
