I wrote about how I attended the school I was denied from as a transient and received a 3.75 gpa spring and 3.0 gpa over all (I have a crappy GPA in total maybe 2.75). I also wrote how some of the classes I took at the school is helping me to start my own business and that I one class I took I received an A and I would like to comeback and be a t.a

Should I write about other stuff too like me going abroad, and where I have worked?

ok I just called and they confirmed I have crappy over all gpa. So should I bother with the appeal or should I just go in as a transient and wait for spring?

So this is the deal I have a total 2.5 gpa with the school having an average of 3.1. This is what I wanted to write about in my appeal

Summer of 07 I spent the summer in Japan on a study abroad program. Fall of 07 I had a 3.0 gpa and Spring of 08 I attended the school I was rejected from as a transient and I got a 3.75. The teacher I took a course with at the school I was rejected from just contacted me and said she would like me to T.A. Like I said I am starting up a business.

Documents I would like to send…
Acceptance letter for summer 07 study abroad program
Transcript with one grade (B) that I didn’t send before
CLEP scores

So uh does it look good for me or no? Anything else I should add? I have a bright futures scholarship I am not sure if that would help.

Why didn’t you talk about your business and abroad experiences in your original application?

There is nothing to lose by sending in an appeals, but I think the low overall GPA is probably still going to be a barrier. Can you go to school for another year and pull up your GPA and reapply? Also, you may want to apply to a wider range of colleges to give yourself a better chance at transfer.

For that matter, what school/s are you trying to transfer to? The advice can be better tailored if we know what you are aiming for…

I am trying to get into the University of Tampa

I did not realize I would not get in. I don’t even understand how my gpa is a 2.5. My CC GPA was a 2.75 and I had been going to UT as a non degree with a 3.0 gpa over all and a 3.75 for the spring term.

The only other school that offers the program is UCF but it would take me years to finish my degree there
