I'm coming to the LA area pretty soon and might visit the campus. What do you recommend visiting?

The campus is pretty small. But if you want to see pretty UCLA, walk around north campus/jans steps.

Join a student-led tour, visit the Powell library, academic buildings, look at Pauley Pavillion, dorms, walk around campus.

i would but i dont think many people would be there during thanksgiving break

theres soo much to do there!!!

Make sure you walk into Westwood (adjacent town) to check out that area. Stop by Diddy Reise for some cookies. You can get a burger or pizza across the street at BJ’s. If you’ll be in the dorms you’ll probably be living somewhere in Westwood once you move out of the dorms.

If you’re going when there aren’t tours being given see if you can talk some random student into showing you a dorm room although it’ll be fairly empty and non-typical on Thanksgiving weekend.

Look, don’t go to BJ’s. There are BJ’s everywhere. Go into the hole-in-the-walls. Just kidding, they all went out of business.

If no led tour is available, the UCLA tour web site has a pdf and a pod cast for self guided tour.
