This is probably a common question but I honestly have no idea what to do! This week I have an interview with a law firm in my hometown for an internship or part-time position. I'm not sure what to wear for my interview, because I've never had a job before. I really want something that's youthful but still tasteful, and I don't want to have to dress too warmly-- I live in Florida, it's summer, and it's really hot.

Edit: I should probably also mention that I'm a girl. I don't think guys really have these problems, haha. They've got it so easy...

I was about to blast you for even thinking about wearing anything other than a suit, until I saw the last part haha

I would go business casual. Perhaps a blazer. But since it is hot you could wear a pencil skirt and ruffled shirt. If you’d like to insert you’re personality you could wear jewelry (nothing too flashy though). And I completely agree w/ you- guys have it much easier in this dept.!

for a law firm - nothing but professional dress is the way to go. A modest, white button-up blouse and a black skirt (preferably knee-length or longer) is pretty standard, blazer optional. Here’s a pretty decent site for advice [Interviews Professional Dressing,How to Tie a Tie | StudySols.com](HugeDomains.com)

my school tells the everyone, regardless of sex, to wear a suite.

of course your shirt would be different and you wouldnt wear a tie. knowing nothing about the specific firm, you should probably suite up.

For a law firm, go buy yourself a conservative pant suit. White blouse underneath the suit top and you are golden.

Make sure you wear close-toed shoes.
