Hi everyone, I have a job interview tomorrow as a barista in the Starbucks at my college, and another one for a cashier job on-campus. I'm going to be a freshman and since the job is not formal, I am not sure what to wear. Some suggestions from my parents were a chiffon maxi dress with a denim jacket, or slacks with a nice shirt and denim jacket, but I would like some further input. Thanks!

Never wear denim to a job interview. A nice pair of trousers with a clean and neat shirt would be fine. Add a blazer if you have it (but not a denim one).

I would wear a nice pair of slacks or a skirt (that goes past the knee) and a nice top. Do not wear denim.

Wear a nice casual dress or skirt with closed toe heels or flats. I feel a maxi dress wouldn’t be the most appropriate.

Since those jobs are customer facing, you can easily scout them out and see how the people doing those jobs dress. Dress on the nicer end of the range that you see. But also dress conservatively (no wild fashions and the like).
