what to wear for prince. interview

khaki dress pants + dress shoes + short sleeve collared shirt? .. or what

that works

go with long sleeves, unless you're on the west coast.

is it too informal..i live in cali..i dont want to be under dressed if he shows up to star bucks in a suit?!!?!

now that i think about it, i'd still go with long sleeves as it's more conservative. even a blazer wouldn't hurt. but you can't go wrong with long sleeves. short sleeves might be innapropriate unless it's 80+ degrees outside.

pop the collar and make 'em smile :D

haha j/k....

They won't hold your clothing against you unless you're dressed very sloppily. If you look like you've put in an effort and respect the interviewer for taking the time off to see you, hes/she will not subtract points because your outfit is not to his/her liking. Worry about something better! :)

Adult weighing in here. Khakis and decent shirt is OK. Long or short sleeves I don't care. Just no jeans - although I might wear them I want to see one gesture that indicates you understand the old-fashioned concept of respect for those who are your senior. Me personally, I will be sorry if you have preppy shoes on, but I will not reject you for that as there is room for many kinds of politics in the world.

While I wouldn't recommend it, Dizzyson wore jeans to his interview over my STRONG protests. I think he might have worn a collared shirt, but I'm not even 100% sure of that. His reasoning for the informal dress was that the interview took place in a Starbuck's on his way home from athletic practice and that he would be perceived as "posturing" in some way if he dressed up.

My point was that the interviewer would likely be coming from work and would be dressed professionally.

The interviewer was in jeans.

We're on the West Coast.

Dizzyson is a fervent (and no doubt the worst-dressed) member of the Class of 2009. Could not be happier. Reported that he and some friends went sledding on lunch trays from the dining hall night before last. He wore his winter jacket for the first time -- has been in t-shirts up until this recent storm.
