What to wear to an interview?

I have an interview with an Alumni on Sunday.. It's at a fancy hotel/restaurant place called The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. I really want to do well, and I'm curious as to what to wear.. Would Khakis and a dress shirt be sufficient? Should I wear a tie? Or would that be overdoing it? Any helpful tips would be appreciated. Thanks. x)

If the place is a fancy place, then try a tie. If not, then don't.

For example, if interviewing at some place like Starbucks, you don't want to show up in a suit; that'd look pretty tacky. Just dress to suit your personality and the place.

What he ^^ said.

American Club is a country club, with many locations across the globe. If it's during the day it would be appropriate to wear a polor shirt or oxford shirt with a pair of khakis, and a pair of loafers, no sneakers.

HAHAHAHAHA

dude, dude, my interview is in the common room of my interviewer's apartment building ...

ull do great, just dont go undressed

mine's at her house... so i'm just wearing what i'm wearing to school on tuesday... (my spanish honor soicety polo shirt and some khaki shorts)

does anyone have any idea how dartmouth interviews typically go? do they drive the interviews with any particular topics?

My son had an interview with two alums from our town, and it was very pleasant and general and all about his interests. He enjoyed it, I think.

i just had mine yesterday, and the alum was cool, it was more of a discussion that sorta stalled at times cause when i stopped talking, she had no clue what to add to what i had said, and so she moved on and asked another question and in between i would just use some stuff she said and shoot a question about dartmouth at her .... but it was ok, mine was farily casual

(i was slightly nervous .... but i hope i returned to normal, i dont rememba hahaha)

Wow, you guys dress well.
