if they said it was a casual one?

Casual clothes are fine, just not messy. Jeans, collared shirt, regular shoes--like what you wear when you go to the mall.

Where is the interview and who is it with? My D had 2 alumni interviews at Starbucks. Casual was fine - she did not wear jeans, wore slightly nicer pants and maybe a sweater or plain shirt.

D had them at Starbucks, and another coffee house, two at peoples homes, two on Penn's campus but not for Penn. Mostly she wore a dress or a skirt and a blouse.

well im being invited (all expenses paid!) to visit washington university in st louis. and they scheduled an appointment. so.. there u go

bumppppppppppppp

If they're paying for all of your friggin expenses to meet a student then it should be obvious that'd you'd dress up nicely for the interview, lol. It's the least you can do! Maybe not an ultra-nice suit, but something formal (Jacket tie shirt).

I'm not applying to WashU but I am from StL and it's a very nice school--even if it says casual, I would still wear somewhat dressy. Especially with the fact that they're bringing you out. Nice slacks, tie, jacket.

yeah I got an invite to Washu too...... they did say casual...... jeans sneakers and a dress shirt??

No sneakers.

when they say casual - think more business casual - leave the tennis shoes for another day

If it says casual the i'd go with business casual-- Shirt, tie, pants and shoes.
