I have been wearing Suits to all my other interviews, but they have at places of buisness, law firms, ect.

What should I wear to the WUSTL on campus interview?

I would go suit (i like dressing up, rather be overdressed than underdressed)... But I'm taking a tour/ info session before, and dont wanna seem like a fool wearing a suit around all day

Maybe should I wear a collared shout a khakis... and throw a tie on before my interview?

I had the same problem, I ended up wearing a suit and was pretty much the only one doing. Everyone else had on polos and khakis and some even had on jeans and t-shirts. The thing with the on-campus interviews are that they are done my seniors and not adcoms, so they are kinda informal and laid back. Mine went well, and was really more so just a conversation about myself and what I like to do. I'm from Chicago and he asked me stuff like "are you a Cubs or a Sox fan"

My suggestion is to wear some nice slacks and a nice polo and some nice shoes...however, like u said, it never really hurts(well most of the time), to overdress

I graduated from WashU and used to interview applicants. Please don't wear a suit. A polo + khaki is perfect (and whatever the equivalent is for a girl).

The entire purpose of the interview is to tell you more about WashU. The interviews are informal and we just ask questions to know more about you. We'll ask stuff like what classes you enjoy, what you're interested in at WashU, and how WashU can give that to you.
One word of advice: You should have questions for us, too... <hint hint=""></hint>

the hint is to bring questions! you look unprepared if you don't.

i give interviews, and while they ARE informal, records are kept, etc. i don't want to give out any confidential info, but don't worry, we pay attention to your interview.

washu07: how much would not having an interview hurt? They're not able to interview me in my area, but they told me that they would note that I requested one. :(

ahhh, I see. I wouldn't like to be so cocky though because if I came with questions about their school... it'd seem as if I "knew" that I was already accepted.. and no one likes a "show-off".
Or do they?

nooo don't wear a suit... i was surprised at how informal it was. literally it probably lasted a max of 25 minutes (if even that long) and we spent half of the time talking about the weather and what st. louis has to offer.

i am a girl and i went in the summer, but i wore a white polo and niceish pants... and i didnt feel under or over dressed.

i don't know what you mean about knowing that you were already accepted. come knowing everything there is to know about the school... and come with a question that shows you're genuinely interested.
